What is a browser terminal?
A browser terminal is a desktop web screen where warehouse workers run scan tasks by typing codes or using a USB barcode scanner, with no mobile device needed.

Warehouse work from a desktop
Not every warehouse has handheld scanners. Many small sites run receiving and dispatch from a PC near the dock.
A browser terminal gives those sites the same scan-to-confirm steps as a handheld, using a keyboard or a plug-in scanner.
Worked example
In this example, a warehouse with 6 staff has one PC at the receiving desk and a USB scanner. A delivery of 15 pallets arrives.
For each pallet, the receiver scans the supplier label into the terminal and enters the quantity. Where a label is torn, they type the number printed under the barcode.
How Waresify handles it
Waresify has a browser terminal in its web app, alongside native iOS and Android scanner apps. Each scan step is one text field that submits on Enter, so typing and a keyboard wedge scanner work the same way.
The terminal calls the same server checks as the scanner app, so location and LP confirmation is enforced on the server either way. It covers receiving, putaway, replenishment, transfers, picking, loading and dispatch, and cycle counting.
Questions
Do I need to buy scanners to use Waresify?
No. Workers can type codes into the browser terminal. A USB keyboard wedge scanner makes it faster, and the scanner app runs on iOS and Android devices.
Does a barcode have to come from Waresify?
No. Supplier labels, pre-printed label stock and hand-written numbers all work, as long as the code is unique.
