Task Interleaving
Task interleaving gives each worker a short ordered list of mixed tasks instead of one task at a time. A worker can pick on the way out, put away on the way back and replenish a pick face while passing through its zone. It needs intelligent task assignment.

How task interleaving works in Waresify
The assignment engine builds a sequence of up to 3 tasks by default, configurable from 1 to 5, starting from the worker's last known location. It only runs in system-directed assignment mode.
The worker sees the tasks in order and may work them in another order.
Which tasks can be combined
Picks, putaways, replenishments and transfers can share a sequence. QC inspections and kit assembly cannot, because they need a fixed station and full attention. You can change the rules for each pair.
When a task drops out
A worker can skip a task, and the skip is logged. If a task in the sequence is blocked or cancelled, the sequence is rebuilt. Urgent SLA work can be inserted into an active sequence.
Questions
What is task interleaving?
Task interleaving mixes task types, such as picks and putaways, into one route so a worker travels loaded more often and empty less often.
Do I need intelligent task assignment for task interleaving?
Yes. Interleaving extends the system-directed assignment engine and has no effect in the other assignment modes.
Which plan includes task interleaving?
Task interleaving is in the Enterprise tier, so the Enterprise plan includes it. Pricing is announced before launch.
