What is hazmat segregation?
Hazmat segregation is keeping dangerous goods of incompatible hazard classes apart in storage and transport, so a leak or fire cannot start a reaction between them.

Why segregation rules exist
Some dangerous goods react with each other. A flammable liquid stored next to an oxidiser can turn a small spill into a fire.
Regulations group dangerous goods into hazard classes and set which classes must be kept apart, and by how much.
Worked example
In this example, a warehouse stores class 3 flammable liquids and class 5.1 oxidisers. Its rule says the two classes may not share a zone.
A pallet of oxidiser arrives. The putaway suggestion skips every location in the zone that holds class 3 stock and sends it to a separate approved zone.
How Waresify handles it
Hazmat is a module on the Enterprise plan. Admins mark zones and locations as approved for hazmat and define incompatible class pairs at location or zone scope.
Putaway checks those rules, plus any quantity limit per location, before it suggests a slot. Workers see PPE alerts before handling hazmat. A supervisor can override a block with a logged reason. Waresify does not include regulatory text, so each company configures the rules that apply where it operates.
Questions
Does the WMS know the regulations for my country?
Waresify does not embed regulatory text, which differs by country and changes over time. Your admin sets the class pairs and limits that apply to your site.
Can a supervisor override a segregation block?
Yes, with a reason that is logged. The system enforces the rules and people stay accountable for exceptions.
