What is a warehouse SLA?

A warehouse SLA (service level agreement) is a committed standard, such as shipping orders by a set cut-off, against which warehouse performance is measured.

Common warehouse SLAs

The most common SLA is a ship-by time, for example same-day dispatch for orders received before 14:00. Others cover receiving turnaround or order accuracy.

An SLA only helps if the warehouse can see which orders are at risk before the deadline passes.

Worked example

In this example, 200 orders arrive before the 14:00 cut-off for a 17:00 collection. At 15:30, 12 are still unpicked and the system flags them as at risk.

The supervisor moves two pickers onto those orders. 194 of the 200 ship on time, a rate of 97 percent.

How Waresify handles it

SLA management is a module on the Professional and Enterprise plans. Each sales order gets a ship-by time from the ERP or from a rule.

The system raises task priority as the deadline nears, alerts the supervisor, and records each order as met or missed. It never blocks an order from being processed.

Questions

What if the ERP does not send a ship-by time?

Waresify applies the first matching rule. Orders with no date and no matching rule are not tracked.

Can a supervisor change a ship-by time?

Yes. The change is logged.
