Cross-Docking

Core plan and up

Cross-docking moves received stock straight to outbound when an open sales order is already waiting for it. At receipt, Waresify checks for a waiting order and creates a cross-dock task from inbound staging to outbound staging instead of a putaway task.

How cross-docking works in Waresify

Each time a license plate is received, Waresify checks whether a waiting sales order needs that item. If one does, it creates a cross-dock task from inbound staging to outbound staging. If not, the plate goes to normal putaway.

How cross-docking works with ASNs

With the ASN module also on, the match can happen before the truck arrives. Once an ASN is expected, Waresify prepares a cross-dock task for each manifest plate that a waiting order needs.

The task becomes executable as soon as the plate is received and confirmed.
