Advance Ship Notices (ASN)
Advance ship notices let a supplier's shipping manifest arrive before the truck. Waresify pre-builds the expected license plates from the manifest, so at the dock workers scan each plate to confirm it instead of counting blind, and any difference is recorded against a specific plate.

How ASN receiving works in Waresify
An ASN comes from your ERP, from a supplier over EDI through the integration layer, or is entered by a supervisor. Once the supervisor confirms the expected delivery, Waresify creates a pending license plate for each plate on the manifest, keyed to the supplier's barcode, such as an SSCC.
The ASN supplements the purchase order. A purchase order with no ASN is received the standard way.
What the worker scans
The worker opens the ASN on the device and scans each plate. Each plate ends as received, discrepancy or not arrived. Unresolved discrepancies put the ASN on hold until a supervisor acts.
Early allocation
With early allocation switched on, orders can reserve stock that is still on an expected ASN, before it arrives.
Questions
What is an advance ship notice?
An ASN is a message from the supplier listing what is on a shipment, how it is packed and which barcodes are on which pallets, sent before the goods arrive.
Is an ASN required to receive goods?
No. Receiving against a purchase order works without one. The ASN speeds up receiving when the supplier sends it.
Which plan includes ASN receiving?
ASN receiving is in the Professional tier, so the Professional and Enterprise plans include it. Pricing is announced before launch.
