Serial Number Tracking
Serial number tracking gives each physical unit its own identity and records every movement against it, from receipt to shipment and back on a return. You choose per item whether serials are scanned at receive, pick and ship, or at receive and ship only.

How serial number tracking works in Waresify
Only items flagged for serial tracking need serial scans. Other items work as before.
A serial number moves through these statuses: registered, in stock, picked and shipped. It can also be returned, quarantined or consumed. The record stays after shipment, so a returned unit can be checked against what left the building.
Full and boundary tracking modes
Each item uses one of two modes.
- Full: serials are scanned at receive, pick and ship. Waresify knows which location every unit is in. Suited to high-value or regulated goods.
- Boundary: serials are scanned at receive and ship only. Units move with their license plate in between.
How serials arrive before the goods
With the ASN module on, a supplier manifest can list serials in advance. Those serials are registered before the truck arrives and move to in stock when the worker scans them at receipt.
Questions

Yes. A serial record can carry its lot when both modules are on.
Which plan includes serial number tracking?
Serial number tracking is in the Professional tier, so the Professional and Enterprise plans include it. Pricing is announced before launch.
